At the Urban Elephant Festival, we are dedicated to working for the local community, with their best interest in mind and so we are committed to being a low pollution and low waste festival.
All our stakeholders, customers and partners are encouraged to work with us to uphold these aims.
- We aim to keep our Carbon Footprint to a minimum. We will continue to work with local people within the community and encourage all artists, public and employees to arrive via public transport/bicycle/walking if possible by providing Sustainable Travel maps, with information on Bike parking, bus routes etc.
- We aim to reduce our waste by continuing to reuse our banners, posters, A - boards and decorations for the festival for as long as possible. We will ensure that if new products or materials are needed, we will always aim to use recycled options. In addition we will aim to avoid single-use plastics.
- We aim to begin the process of changing to Solar powered and off grid stages, lighting and sound in the coming years.
- We as festival organisers and our partners remain committed to monitoring our impact on the environment, our usage of natural resources such as energy and water and finding solutions to make what we love doing not have a negative effect on our futures and community.
